Surah waqiah |
When the Surah Waqiah
was revealed, it was one of the most sacred books in the entire Qur'an. Most of
the world's Muslims have had a deep connection with this book. But is there any
special significance for anyone?
There are many verses
in the Quran that are highly significant to Islam. Surah Waqiah is one of
these. It is a part of the Quran's Book of Prophets. It is also the last part
of the Quran to be revealed.
It is said that the Surah
Waqiah is a part of the Quran that is not revealed in order to incite
wars. Instead, it is an account of Allah's "true and perfect
messages." The verses in this Surah are used to make Islam known.
The Surah Waqiah is
mainly concerned with an earthly, worldly problem, war. As such, the verses in
this Surah were likely the ones that were revealed to test the Muhammad and his
people. It's not a very old Surah, yet there is a strong connection between it
and the story of Jonah.
The story of Jonah
from the Bible can be related to the Surah Waqiah in a few ways. The story of
Jonah and the whale fits the storyline that appears in the Quran well.
In the Bible, Jesus is
considered to be the Jonah, but if we are to believe the Quran's story, it was
actually a spirit in the body of a man that is able to tell God about something
that God could not. Because this thing was classified as a great crime, God
sent a wind from the sky to wipe out the people that used it. Many of those who
died in the aftermath were destroyed by God's wrath.
With the Surah Waqiah,
God chose to remove those people that had been perverted by evil and allowed
them to dwell in the earth. It is considered to be one of the main reasons for
the Prophet's decision to build a mosque near the Red Sea. It's the reason he
has so much faith in God's mercy and forgiveness.
The Surah Waqiah is a
reminder of the truth that we are all safe in God's hands. Whether we have
sinned or not, we are still good and deserving of Paradise. Those who follow
the teachings of Islam are in the best position to enjoy Paradise.
